Private Personal Training in Omaha

If you’re searching for a private personal trainer in Omaha, you’re probably after a few things: your own program, real coaching attention, and a gym that doesn’t feel like a waiting room.

That’s exactly what we do at Black Clover Fitness.

What “private personal training” actually means at BCF

We call it semi-private training, which is industry language most people haven’t heard. Here’s what it means in practice: sessions capped at 4-5 clients per coach. Your own program, written for your body and your goals before you walk in. A certified coach on the floor the entire 45 minutes, watching you move and adjusting in real time.

It’s the attention level of 1-on-1 training in a small-group setting. If you’ve searched “private personal trainer Omaha” or “1-on-1 personal trainer Omaha,” this is what you’re looking for.

We’ve been doing this at 3821 N. 167th Court (near 168th and Maple in West Omaha) since 2008.

How the training works

Your program is written before you arrive. Every BCF member follows an individualized program built around their movement history, goals, and limitations. There’s no template, no workout-of-the-day that applies to everyone. Your program is yours.

Your first session is an assessment. We run a mobility screen and a working 5-rep max on squats, deadlifts, and bench press. We need to know where you actually are before we can progress you from there.

The session cap is 4-5 clients. That’s intentional. It’s what makes individualized coaching possible. Our coaches are on the floor the whole time, cueing form, adjusting load, tracking your progress session to session.

Sessions run 45 minutes. Two to 3 times per week is the right dose for meaningful strength gains in adults over 40. That’s 90-135 minutes of real training per week — enough to get results and manageable enough to stick with.

Who trains here

Our members are mostly adults 40-70: professionals, parents, retirees who’ve had enough of generic programming. About 90% live within 10 miles of the studio.

Average member tenure at BCF is 4 years. That number reflects whether what we do actually works.

The coaches

Every coach on our floor is nationally certified.

Trevor Davis (Owner, Head Coach) is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Sports Nutrition Specialist, and Certified Personal Trainer. 20+ years of coaching in Omaha. Coaching in West Omaha specifically since 2004.

Connor Tackett (Morning Lead Trainer) holds CSCS and ACE certifications.

Jordan Whaley (Afternoon Lead Trainer) specializes in strength and conditioning.

Frequently asked questions about private personal training at BCF

Is this really private personal training if there are other people in the session?

Your program is individualized and your coach is dedicated to your group, capped at 4-5 people. You’re not doing someone else’s workout. You’re not waiting for equipment. Your coach knows your name, tracks your numbers, and adjusts your program based on how you’re moving that day. The experience is private in all the ways that matter.

How is this different from a big-box gym personal trainer?

At a big-box gym, the trainer is often managing multiple clients across the floor or bouncing between members of a class. At BCF, sessions are by appointment, the group never exceeds 5, and your programming is individualized. We also track your progress over time, which most gym trainers don’t do systematically.

Do I have to be in shape before I start?

No. Programs are written for where you are right now, and every exercise is modifiable for past injuries, limitations, or no experience at all. Beginners respond well here because coaching feedback is immediate from day one.

What does it cost?

BCF is a premium service. We price accordingly. The best way to get accurate numbers is a free 30-minute consultation where we map out a program for your specific goals. Call (402) 964-2300 or book online.
