Black Clover Fitness is a semi-private personal training studio at 3821 N. 167th Court, Suite 130/135, near 168th and Maple in West Omaha. We’ve been training adults here since 2008.
Semi-private personal training is the model we built this place around. Small group, individualized program, real coaching. Every session.

What is Semi-Private Personal Training?
Semi-private personal training at BCF is strength coaching in a group capped at up to 5 clients per coach. Every member follows their own program — built for their body, their history, their goals. Sessions run 45 minutes. Most members train 2 to 3 times per week.
It’s the closest experience to one-on-one personal training, delivered in a shared environment. You get individualized programming and direct coaching attention. You also train alongside people with similar goals, which makes the work harder in the best way.
How it works
It starts with an assessment. Your first session includes a mobility screen to identify any movement gaps, plus a baseline strength assessment using squats, deadlifts, and bench press. It’s a working 5-rep max, not a max-out test — we just need a real starting point. From there, we progress you week by week based on your actual numbers.
We also offer optional full-body assessments — measurements, weight, body fat, photos, goal setting — with follow-ups every 4 weeks for members who want that level of tracking.
Every program is yours. Before you ever walk in, your program is written for your mechanics, your goals, and your limitations. Progressions are tracked session to session. Nothing is template-pulled.
Session cap: up to 5 clients. That limit exists for a reason. It’s what makes individualized coaching possible in a group setting. Our coaches are on the floor the entire session — watching you move, cueing form, adjusting load in real time.
Sessions run 45 minutes. Two to 3 times per week is the right dose for meaningful strength adaptation in adults over 40. That’s 90 to 135 minutes of total training per week. Enough to get real results, manageable enough to stay consistent.

Who is it for?
Our semi-private personal training members are mostly adults 40 to 70 — professionals, parents, and retirees who want strength coaching built specifically for them. About 90% live within 10 miles of the studio.
They’ve had enough of generic programming. They want progress they can see tracked over time. And they’re planning to train for years, not just until the weather changes.
Average member tenure at Black Clover Fitness is 4 years. That number is not an accident.
The coaches
Every coach on our floor is nationally certified.

Jordan Whaley (Afternoon Lead Trainer) specializes in strength and conditioning and runs afternoon sessions.
All coaches are CPR and AED certified.

Common questions about semi-private personal training at BCF
How is semi-private personal training different from a group fitness class?
In a group class, everyone does the same workout. In semi-private personal training at BCF, every member follows a program written specifically for them. The group is capped at 5 clients per coach so the coach can watch you move, correct form, and adjust load in real time. The attention level is closer to one-on-one personal training than to any group class you’ve been in.
How is it different from one-on-one personal training?
The programming is just as individualized — you get a personalized program built around your goals, your mechanics, and your limitations. The difference is you’re in a small group, which brings accountability, energy, and a better price point. Most clients who try semi-private personal training after one-on-one say they don’t miss the solo sessions.
What happens in the first session?
Your first session is an assessment. We run a mobility screen to identify movement gaps, then a baseline strength assessment using squats, deadlifts, and bench press — working 5-rep max, not a max-out test. We need to know where you are before we can progress you from there. You’ll also have the option to do a full-body assessment (measurements, body fat, photos, goal setting) with follow-ups every 4 weeks.
What does a typical semi-private personal training session look like?
You arrive, warm up, and move through your program for the session. The coach is on the floor the whole time — watching, cueing, adjusting. Sessions are 45 minutes. You won’t be standing around waiting for equipment or counting your own reps in a corner.
How soon will I see results?
Most members notice meaningful strength gains within 6 to 8 weeks of consistent training — 2 to 3 sessions per week, every week. Progress is tracked session to session so you can see it in your numbers, not just feel it.
Is semi-private personal training right for beginners?
Yes. Programs are written for where you are right now, and sessions are fully modifiable for limitations, past injuries, or experience level. Beginners respond well to this format because coaching feedback is immediate and the program is designed to progress from your actual baseline.
